Ecological Projects
We are fortunate to have been involved in a wide range of interesting ecological projects over the years all of which have required a careful and sensitive approach to ensure their successful completion.
Projects have ranged from large scale earth modelling and the formation of shallow scrapes/wetland to provide a suitable habitat for lapwings, the dredging and re-profiling of ponds to provide habitat for Great Crested Newts and the relocation of hazel stools and hedges and the construction of dormice bridges to allow the largest population of dormice in Cardiff to remain in-situ whilst a new car park was built.
We have also been involved in the erection of newt protection fences around proposed development sites, the protection of trees where bats have been discovered and the formation of habitat log piles within woodland areas.
